About

PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS FOR A HURTING WORLD

ITFM was formed in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) Tax Deductible Charitable Organization 20-0505188, for the purpose of providing engineering support for existing organizations with a demonstrated need. We started with water purification projects, providing drilled wells, building leaders housing, & entire schools as well as special one on one class projects such as providing school supplies and families in need with goats. Since 2011 we have been busy putting down a "Heavy Footprint" in the village of Nabisoto, Uganda with a Clinic, Primary School and helping to begin a Christ centered local fellowship by providing a location, platform and small business for a local pastor.

ITFM is operated out of Cle Elum in Washington State. We are governed by a (currently) 7 member board of directors bringing a broad range of talent from the home & business world to higher education.

Access to clean water is the number one health problem in many areas of the world. ITFM has provided clean water to several villages by drilling bore holes and prior to that slow sand filters used to clean water from local swamps.

In addition to water wells, other on site projects are permanent school facilities, housing for in place pastors, teaching staff, nursing units and caretakers. As we are able to increase our reach we have a strong desire to establish technical school facilities and be able to house at risk children attending IPS. All of this will impact villages and improve the lives of rural peoples through hands on education.

We are currently looking into placing engineering students into short term foreign internship roles. Now that we have a clinic facility on line as of 2012 we are also looking for short term medical professionals and students as well. Please contact us to volunteer in the Integrity Primary School working with the students in Uganda. Contact John on his personal email if you are interested.  john.calhoun@inthefieldministries.org

An Example of Hydraulic Ram Pump technology: These pumps use only the power in flowing water to push a portion of that water to your destination. (holding tank, slow sand filter, garden soaker) There are only two moving parts (one way valves), they are easily maintained and will last for years. Since they run constantly, the small flow of water really adds up. A very small system with 50 feet of lift would typically pump 800 to 1000 gallons per day, larger systems 3500 to 4000 gallons or more. Enough water to enable a family homestead or small community to double or even quadruple what they are able to grow, share & sell. Bringing to them the joy of increase, perhaps for the first time. Improving the living conditions of the entire local community while sharing the love of Jesus in very practical ways.
